Mission T.E.A.M. (Training, Equipping, and Mobilizing)
is our summer long intern program. This six to
eight week intensive short-term mission opportunity
gives people a chance to participate in a more
challenging experience that goes beyond the typical
one or two week short term experience. We believe
this can help individuals discern their call and
help determine their suitability to cross cultural
missions.
As
a participant in our Mission T.E.A.M.
Intern Program, you will gain:
● A stronger appreciation for the diversity of
people within God’s family. ●
An exposure to the various types of missionary
service available to an individual. ● A better understanding of what it means to serve in
another culture.
Dates
Currently our start date for summer 2009 is June 21st.
Our last day in Mexico for 2009 is scheduled to be
Saturday, August 15th.
Requirements
Mission
T.E.A.M.
is for spiritually mature individuals. Our summer
program involves a life of service to others and a
commitment to live in close community with other
T.E.A.M. members. Your ability to model humble
servant hood to others participating in short-term
missions, some for the first time, will determine
their success or failure.
You
will need to complete an application [available
below], secure two references, and have the
recommendation of your church pastor.
Cost
The
cost for Mission T.E.A.M. 2009 is
$2500.00. This includes most of your meals, lodging,
debriefing retreats, and all of your transportation while in
Mexico. Mission T.E.A.M.
participants are responsible for their own
transportation into Mexico at the beginning of
summer and their return flight home from Mexico,
personal spending money, and a few incidental
expenses such as laundry.
